We struggled to get a reliable, committed illustrator to illustrate a series of children's books our extremely talented Emma Dredge has written.
We thought why not get the dance students to illustrate.
So with the help of Tarumbeta Africah the first of the series is beautifully illustrated and the smiles are priceless (the children's and ours!)
This purposeful enterprise is designed to give children an outlet for creativity and colour while incorporating literacy and educational skills. Perhaps the inspiration gained through our In2Ed publishing will see these children establish careers as illustrators someday.
Two amusements that will never do any harm to the world. And now they do both!
Yesterday our dance students received their own copy of the books they illustrated.
is where you can get a copy of this and other books illustrated by these amazing kids.
The power of possibility in those pages for those children is priceless. Wendy and Scott Perry, we thankyou. This is everything that In2EdAfrica stands for.
Working together to create purposeful enterprises that transform communities.
This book was created on three continents with the children in Korogocho becoming published illustrators. It was seeded by the kindness of Marley and Amalia during Covid.
